Letitia James said The Reproductive Freedom and Equity Program's aim is to increase funding and care for New Yorkers and for those who might travel to New York for abortion services if the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.
James said she also supported "a constitutional amendment" to protect the right to abortion.
James said she expects 26 states ban abortion or to severely limit access to abortion if Roe v. Wade is overturned in the Supreme Court.
