as posted by the channelUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy made a rousing address to his nation on Wednesday to commemorate Ukraine's Independence Day and mark six months since the start of the Russian invasion.
Speaking from Kyiv's Independence Square in front of destroyed Russian tanks and mobile artillery, Zelenskiy said: "On February 24, we were told you have no chance. On August 24, we say: Happy Independence Day, Ukraine. During these six months, we changed history, changed the world and changed ourselves."
"What is the end of the war for us? We used to say: peace. Now we say: victory," he said and vowed to liberate occupied regions of Donbas and Crimea.
"We will put our hands up only once - when we will celebrate our victory. The whole of Ukraine. Because we do not trade our lands and our people."
