0:38Now PlayingThe Russian Defence Ministry said that the military early Tuesday launched a “strike of retribution” with sea launched precision weapons on Ukrainian military facilities near Odesa and Mykolaiv.
The ministry said that the Russian troops destroyed the facilities involved in preparing “terrorist acts” against Russia involving sea drones, including a facility at a shipyard near Odesa that was producing them.
It said that the military also struck the Ukrainian army’s fuel depots with a total capacity of 70,000 tons near Odesa and Mykolaiv.
"All designated targets have been hit,” Igor Konashenkov, the spokesperson for the ministry said.
"Fires and detonation were spotted at the destroyed facilities," he added.
