“Watching this actually turn into a fight has ripped MAGA apart,” Greene said in a press conference on the steps of the Capitol, surrounded by survivors of the financier’s sex trafficking ring who offered dramatic accounts of abuse they suffered as teenagers.
Greene, a prominent Make America Great Again acolyte and long-time Trump ally, spoke hours before the House is scheduled to vote on legislation requiring release of Justice Department files on Epstein, a measure Trump and Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson fought until a majority of lawmakers signed a petition forcing a vote.
