Bobi Wine is calling for sanctions against those individuals that abuse rights, subvert democracy and the rule of law, and is also seeking meetings with companies to dissuade them from investing in Uganda.
He plans to use his exile to raise awareness about the shrinking democratic space in his country, where lawmakers have passed a law that critics say will control foreign donations to the opposition and civil society groups.
