The CDC — gutted under the banner of “government efficiency” — stopped funding the FoodNet program that tracked cyclospora and five other foodborne pathogens, and is now refusing to comment. The same cuts have even brought back screwworm, a flesh-eating parasite.
One month. A wrecked World Cup run and a coast-to-coast outbreak. The evidence that Donald Trump makes everything worse keeps piling higher.
