And you can tell them all day long. And I keep going back to have children, okay? Motivating a child is one of the most sometimes the most difficult things because their fear of what their peers think sometimes outweighs what you as a parent can see in them. And when you're trying to tell them that something is worth the while, they fight you tooth and nail because of fear. Adults never really grow out of it.
Sometimes we stay there because we don't want Paul to think ill of us because we want the friendship of Paul, we know how Paul thinks. The thing is, we're not even watching that Paul doesn't even care what you think about Paul. Do you care about what Paul thinks about you? Or couldn't care about what you think about it? Because Paul is doing a positive, which is why you're attracted to Paul as a friend. You will still hear him say he's so outspoken. I like that about him. What about you? Why don't you speak your mind?
Well, so wait, do you care what Paul thinks about you? Yes. But Paul doesn't care what anybody thinks about him. Right? Yes. And you look up to Paul. Yeah. Then you're a fool. Because if you can look up to Paul, and revere him for him being outspoken, and you're afraid to talk what you have to talk, then you're either content to be where you are. Or you have allowed fear to be your number one bedfellow.
And at this point, you have to choose, but the problem is people like Oprah and the media, will push on you every possible reason to be afraid. I think that's why God said specifically, I've not given you a spirit of timidity. Yeah, I have given you a spirit of power and strength. Now, if that doesn't ring true in today's day and age and prove to you exactly what is what I don't know what to tell you. Because we're in a position now where we have to start speaking outright? We're no longer we can't do it anymore.
Now we can't. I'm Andrea Braxton, got a good point she sells insurance. get life insurance. Purchasing life insurance stopped leaving that burden on your own family. I mean, for real, for real. When you die, you should become more valuable. I mean, leaving some money man leaving something to work with. Don't make them sell the house that to bury, which I wouldn't be.
I wouldn't do it anyway if I didn't have insurance, and we couldn't afford a funeral. I would. I'm sure my wife knows, do not sell this house or anything else. Just let them burn me the ashes and be done with it. And live your life? Because if I don't have I mean, what good is that gonna do? Man, you just gave up the house, then went into debt and have a funeral. Listen, if I don't have insurance, or didn't leave enough money sitting around for you to bury me, that's my fault, not yours.
And don't carry that burden. But these are things that we need to do. We need to start taking care of ourselves and quit blaming people. We have to start standing up and stop blaming people, even if it's unfair. Stand up and be a man. When you get a bigger guy fighting the smaller guy, what did he do? He got to get tough and you got to fight. He's got to fight harder. That's it. That's it. And then quit blaming everything that happened to us on down. Are we doing this stuff to ourselves? Again. 328 murders in the city, of Detroit. 14,000 violent crimes.
