UK arrests 90 silent Palestine protesters for ‘supporting a terrorist organization’

Dozens of silent protesters were arrested in central London on as part of an ongoing mass civil disobedience campaign to oppose the UK government’s ban on Palestine Action, which it designated a “terrorist” organization earlier this year.

Since July, when support of the pro-Palestine direct-action group was made illegal, more than 2,350 people have been arrested across the UK for standing against its proscription by holding signs stating “I Oppose Genocide. I Support Palestine Action.”

Human rights groups and civil liberties experts worldwide have condemned the ban as an attack on free speech, the right to protest, and Palestine organizing as a whole.
