Can You Get A "Too Good Of A Deal" For Yourself?
Sometimes, getting a good deal for yourself can be hard. Negotiating is a really pain in the ass for most people, especially programmers who don't have these skills.
Not all developers "develop" negotiation skills and this can be hard when it comes to getting a good deal for yourself. A good salary does not fall from the sky and it is achieved. There are a lot of different ways to negotiate a salary and there are a lot of different things you need to take into account, such as the value you produce, how are your expenses, etc.
However, this stuff can happen and, sometimes, you can get a pretty good deal for yourself. However, should you believe in something like that? Do these "good deals" even exist?
With companies nowadays trying to profit as much as they can and avoiding costs as much as they can, should you believe in good deals?
