Passenger Drops Laptop… Plane Turns Around – Captain Steeeve Reacts

In today's video, we’re looking at a bizarre situation on United Airlines Flight 126 from Dulles to Rome. About an hour after takeoff, the pilots had to turn the aircraft around because a passenger dropped their laptop… and it slipped through a gap behind the cabin wall, falling into the cargo compartment below the cabin.

Now normally, losing a laptop isn’t a big deal — but a lithium-ion battery in an inaccessible part of the airplane can be. That area isn’t covered by the aircraft’s fire-suppression systems, and if that battery overheats or gets damaged, it can become a serious hazard.
