A collaboration between elders and the University of Alberta is elevating wellness among youth in First Nations communities. The participants are shown how healthy food sources such as wildlife and berries can be harvested in nature. The project is called Healthy Fit and Strong: Changing the Story for Indigenous Youth and Young Adults. One of the communities participating is Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation.
