Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul has stated on many occasions that he has done a lot of work in recent years to extend the rights of minorities. Unless that minority is homosexuals, apparently. He states that his entire reasoning is that he believes that being gay is a behavior and he doesn’t believe you can have rights based on behavior. This is an indication that he believes that gay rights and the rights of LGBTQ people in general are a non-issue and are not worthy of discussion despite more than eight million adult Americans identifying as a sexual orientation other than straight according to a recent national survey. Obviously this is a very important problem should the man every become say, the leader of the most powerful country on the planet, which seems to be the way his ambitions are leaning.”
