"Crazy crackpot? Terrorist? No, it turns out that Doug Hughes, a mailman from Florida, had no more nefarious plan for landing an autogyro (also known as a Gyroplane or Gyrocopter) on the lawn of the Capitol building then delivering the mail. The mail in question was two boxes full of letters from Hughes addressed to each member of Congress asking them to get money out of politics and to represent the people they were sworn to protect rather than Corporate and special interest groups. Hughes landed on the lawn of the Capitol building, violating a federal no fly zone, after he made sure that all of the authorities had been contacted to insure that they would understand that this was not a terrorist attack.
Hughes was immediately taken into custody by Capitol Police once he landed. He is currently under investigation by the FAA."
