“A US police officer has been charged with assault and battery after newly-emerged CCTV shows him punching a 16-year-old student in the face.
Police say MSgt Thomas Jaha, 25, confronted the boy about his missing hall pass. Mr Jaha claims he attacked the boy in self-defence as he "thought he was about to hit me".
The altercation between Mr Jaha and the 16-year-old student happened on October 9 at US Grant High School in Oklahoma City.”
