Last August, Freeman killed two policemen who tried to serve a warrant for sex abuse allegations.
Freeman - whose real name was Desmond Filby - was a well known anti-government conspiracy theorist.
Police put out a $1 million AUD reward for information but it's not clear if anyone will receive it.
Freeman was found around 60 miles from where he was last seen and now police will investigate whether anyone helped him evade capture.
