12:47Now PlayingNATO has vowed to defend every inch of its territory after a Russian drone hit an apartment building in Romania. The NATO member state scrambled F-16 fighter jets but could not intercept the attack in time, with President Nicusor Dan saying the drone may have changed course after being hit by Ukraine's air defences.
It landed in an apartment block just across Ukraine's border with Romania, in the eastern city of Galati. Two people were taken to hospital, and 70 evacuated from the building.
There have been several cross-border incidents in the war, but it marks the first time Romanian citizens have been injured.
