The man whose victory in 2024 was dubbed the loveless landslide, whose style was criticised as lacking charisma and emotion finally let it all out as Starmer paid tribute to his wife and children.
But can Andy Burnham turn things round for his party and his country, and can he avoid being yet another disappointment?
