3:57Now PlayingWildfires are still raging across France and Spain and they could get worse as Europe is now in the grip of its fourth heatwave this summer.
And now a dire warning from the EU: if the heatwave continues and the fires spread east, there could be fire "all across Europe".
The apocalyptic warning comes from the head of the EU's Emergency Response Coordination Centre Maria Zuber, who said the fire risk is now moving east to Greece, where two firefighters died today, Central Europe and Italy.
We are reporting from Lège-Cap-Ferret, west of Bordeaux, where temperatures were forecast to reach 40C Wednesday.
