8:56Now PlayingThe President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Comrade Abdulwaheed Omar, has demanded that the National Assembly investigate the funds appropriated for defence since the war on terrorism began.
In a press statement, Comrade Omar said he was worried that although huge funds have been appropriated to security agencies terrorists activities were still rampant particularly in the northeast.
In the 2014 budget alone 314.3 billion Naira was appropriated was appropriated for defence which comprises the Air Force, Army and the Navy.
During plenary, some federal lawmakers reacted to the probe calls.
