9:35Now PlayingA former Nigerian international footballer, Mr Larry Kubenje, believes that Nigeria needs to be banned from participating in FIFA organised competitions for things to be done correctly.
Speaking on Sunrise Daily, on Monday, Mr Kubenje said: "People are already scared that FIFA will ban us; we need the ban to get it correctly. This problem will continue all the way in another ten years".
He blamed Nigeria's sports woes on former Ministers of Sports and didnt spare the present one either.
He said the minister, instead of rallying aggrieved stakeholders, “was pushing his interests".
"Amaju's coming wasn't the making of the Minister; he had his own candidate. When people begin to push their selfish interest in front, Nigeria will never get it".
Mr Kubenje, who also noted that the problem of Nigerian football started years ago, added that Nigeria had a bad football structure that has to be dismantled and restructured.
