Explaining the incident that preceded the fisticuffs, he said: "The Speaker had taken his chair and after the opening prayers asked that the Chairman of the Ad-hoc Committee on Rules and Business should move for the dissolution of the House into an Executive Session.
"It was at that point that some members of the House began to call for point of order which is in clear contravention of order 8 Rule 43 of the Standing Orders of the House that clearly indicates rules and proceedings of the business of the House.
"At that point an Honourable member or two made for the mace of the House.
"They were clamouring for the reading of a letter from the APC to the Speaker," he said.
he assured Nigerians that some of the lawmakers, who he said had the fear of God, would continued to uphold the position of the constitution.
