7:57The recent appointments made by president Muhammadu Buhari have continued to draw reactions from Nigerians, with some saying they do not reflect Federal Character, but appear to favour just one part of the country.
The Executive Director of the Centre for Social Justice, Mr Eze Onyekpere, said that the President had violated the Federal Character Commission Law and the constitutional principles.
In his edition of the Gavel different persons give their views about the appointments that the Presidency said it made based on the provisions of the constitution.
Lawmakers are divided over the issue, with the South-east lawmakers saying that the appointment should be based on what an individual could deliver and not where he was from.
