China is making efforts to change the narrative that vocational education is second choice to academic degree. The country's universities intend to become more practical institutions where students can acquire degrees with occupational skills and become entrepreneurs.
Germany has the most productive workforce as well as the lowest employment rate in the world. This is due to its vocational training system in workplaces with a combination of practical training and theoretical classroom instructions.
While Kenya in a bid to revive the competence of its workforce introduced technical and vocational education in 2018. The country also approved grants to students and allocation for recruitment of instructors.
