2:41Now PlayingThis week we check out Dr Abidemi Afeez , a Postdoctoral Scientist for research on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases Modelling funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation at the International Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Data Analytics (ICAMMDA), Federal University Oye-Ekiti.
Dr. Abidemi researches in mathematical modelling and optimal control applied to infectious diseases and socio-physical dynamics. He has to his credit over thirty (30) peer reviewed publications in reputable journals.
His current research at ICAMMDA focuses on the use of an appropriate deterministic model to assess the impacts of R21/Matrix-M vaccine recently integrated into the malaria control strategy in Nigeria on the transmission dynamics of the disease in the selected Bayelsa and Kebbi States.
