YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDefense Secretary Pete Hegseth accused the Biden administration of targeting his family with a “rushed” tax audit. Hegseth posted a picture on X of what appears to be an IRS letter sent to him and his wife. The document said the family owed $33,558 in federal taxes and needed to be paid immediately.
It’s unclear the timeline of this. Pete Hegseth could’ve received this letter 2 years ago and is deceiving the public for political capital, he could’ve gotten it in the mail this morning and it’s a hold over from the Biden administration’s priorities or internal IRS staffers who have a distrust of Pete Hegseth. The truth is — we don’t know the details. Pete Hegseth could owe the IRS $33,000 in unpaid taxes.
But here’s what we do know, when a former Biden administration official was asked about this off the record, the response wasn’t, “we don’t weaponize the IRS” or “this wasn’t done at our discretion.” It was “this is a vain attempt to distract from how the richest man in the world is rifling through Americans’ personal finances and Social Security information.” It was basically, yeah we did it, but did you see what Elon’s doing?
That’s not okay!
