1:02Now PlayingTulsi Gabbard is threatening to SUE CNN for a report it’s been working on accusing her of voter fraud. The CNN story allegedly claims that Gabbard improperly voted in the 2024 election in Hawaii. In 2024, Gabbard purchased a house in Texas and declared a “homestead exemption” at that property — so she doesn’t have to pay property taxes on that house, but more importantly her address is not public, and since she’s the DIR. OF NAT. INTEL — it’s important that her address not be public information.
In some states, a homestead exemption is for full time residencies. You can’t claim a “homestead exemption” if it’s not your full time home. In Texas, that’s not the case. So Gabbard remains a resident of Hawaii since she’s from there, she served in Congress there, and most importantly — she pays her taxes there! That’s the big kicker — if she’s paying taxes in Hawaii instead of Texas (which is crazy!), why wouldn’t CNN take the time to look that up?
Because they’re more interested in putting out a smear job story than actually getting to the truth. A headline that Tulsi Gabbard engaged in voter fraud is JUICY — but it’s a lie.
