I'm left wondering how this teenager had all these guns without his parents' knowledge or concern.
What gun control law could have prevented this situation? The truth is, none.
Even if all guns were banned, there are already millions in circulation, and only law-abiding citizens would comply. Criminals, by definition, defy the law. When guns are banned, criminals thrive, while law-abiding citizens are left defenseless or pushed to the brink of criminality themselves.
We need to address the root cause of the problem. Why is a fifteen-year-old resorting to armed robbery? By understanding this, we can take the first step in tackling the violence plaguing our inner cities.
It's not mass shooters; it's young black and brown teenagers raised by single parents in impoverished areas.
This problem is specific, and it's time to stop ignoring it under the guise of gun control.
These teenagers aren't concerned about your regulations; they grow up in environments even the police fear.
As a nation, we should focus on the real issue—the teenagers driving the majority of gun violence—not on background checks or bans targeting weapons they rarely use.
If we genuinely seek a solution to gun violence, we must confront the problem honestly and sincerely.
