This episode takes the truck gun conversation in a very different direction.
After spending time with the Micro Draco, I wanted to look at the opposite end of the same idea. The FN SCAR 15P brings a completely different personality to the truck gun role—more refined, more controlled, and a lot more familiar for anyone used to running an AR-style platform. But that doesn’t mean it comes without trade-offs.
In this video, I break down what makes the SCAR 15P such an interesting option for a truck gun, from its compact size and foldable setup to the realities of shooting 5.56 out of a very short barrel. We also get into maneuverability inside a vehicle, blast and concussion, bag carry practicality, suppression, and how it compares to the raw brutality of the Micro Draco.
At the end of the day, this isn’t about naming one perfect truck gun. It’s about understanding what trade-offs make the most sense for you.
