I've been shooting the SA35 for a minute now and I'll be honest — this gun shouldn't work as well as it does. On paper it's a retro play. Nostalgia. A museum piece with a modern logo slapped on it.
Then you actually pick it up.
The trigger breaks clean with no wall. The safety glides instead of clicks. The hammer is recontoured so you're not getting bit. The feed ramp is redesigned. The magazine disconnect is gone. 15 rounds out of something that looks like it should hold 13.
Every single one of those decisions is invisible until you shoot it — and then you feel all of them at once.
This isn't Springfield recreating 1935. This is Springfield taking one of the most successful pistol designs in firearms history and fixing everything that 1930s manufacturing couldn't. Same soul.
