16:24Now PlayingOn Monday, Sgt. Brett Yarrow took the stand in the case against Tanner Horner and read a letter Horner reportedly wrote after attempting suicide in jail. The letter, addressed to the family of Athena Strand—the 7-year-old girl he killed in November 2022—was read in court. In it, Horner wrote, "I can’t hold it in any longer. I’ve done a terrible thing to your family, and I’m sorry," adding that "many were affected by my breakdown" and "I’m sorry I took your little angel from you. She didn’t deserve it." Jurors also heard a separate letter Horner allegedly wrote to detectives in the case.
