He is on trial for allegedly shooting and killing 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton after he thought he had taken water bottles from his gas station. The state claimed that Cyrus was only 14 years old at the time of this incident and that boys do things that are ill-advised and not always smart, but that’s part of life. They also claim that Cyrus was a child, and this was a time for “adults to act like adults,” and Chow could have checked video footage instead of shooting and killing the teen.
