Clancy’s attorney discovered Thorndike through a TikTok in which she discussed staffing problems at McLean, where Clancy was treated. The defense wanted Thorndike to tell the jury about those staffing issues and what she experienced while working at the hospital. After questioning Thorndike in court, however, the judge ruled that she would not be allowed to testify before the jury.
