He first announced the idea for this event during a Super Bowl Sunday interview with CBS news Anchor Katie Couric. Since then, the President has released a health care plan drawing largely from two bills passed by House and Senate Democrats. We heard opening comments from the President and congressional leaders followed by discussions on health care costs, insurance reforms, deficit reduction and expanding coverage.
