C-SPAN (Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network) is an American cable and satellite television network that provides coverage of federal government proceedings including the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and other public affairs programming. It is a private non-profit public service created and funded by the cable television industry.
