With black fabric draped over the late senator's desk and white roses on top, Sen. McConnell said from the chamber floor, "America will miss her devoted son." Following the majority leader, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (DNY) called the sixterm senator "equally parts funny and furious, foulmouthed and statesmanlike. He could put the temper in temperament.
