as posted by the channelThe House passed by voice vote a Democratic bill to fund the government through February 28th. G. K. Butterfield was presiding. Minutes later, Republicans objected to the voice vote, saying that they had requested a recorded vote but weren't recognized. This is followed by an exchange between Minority Whip Scalise and Majority Leader Hoyer, which ended in a House recess. Upon its return, Democrats agreed to vacate the voice vote and to take a recorded vote next week, unless the government shutdown ends earlier than that. This video is 3 clips edited together.
