as posted by the channelSecretary of State Antony Blinken has announced a cease-fire between warring military factions in Sudan. The announcement comes after the successful evacuation of US diplomatic staff in Khartoum over the weekend. On Capitol Hill, the House plans to vote this week on the Republicans' bill that links a debt ceiling increase with spending cuts. But President Biden isn't budging on his position to not tie the two together. And the three Tennessee state lawmakers who faced expulsion after participating in gun control protests at the state Capitol following last month's school shooting in Nashville visited the White House today. The three lawmakers will be asking Biden to declare a public health emergency on gun violence.
