YouTube Description
as posted by the channelDecember 11, 2000 Justices heard arguments in the case of Bush v. Gore, docket number 00949, regarding the manual recount of "undervote" ballots ordered by the Florida Supreme Court. Among the concerns of the justices were whether the Florida Supreme Court had made new law in their decision, whether the recount standard was too broad, and whether federal statutes had been violated. The arguments and questions were presented in an audio format with still photos and artist renderings of court proceedings. Justice Thomas was present but did not ask any questions of the lawyers.
