Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO): "I'm not in the camp for just abolishing ICE. I do think that there is a need for us to reevaluate ICE...some of the problems were created because the ICE agents - in my estimation - were not trained as our police officers, only 47 days of training...we've got to reexamine ICE and maybe even restructure it sometime in the future...We need comprehensive immigration which would make the work of ICE much easier."

Rep. Mike Flood (R-NE): "I don't think anybody in Congress would be against additional training for anyone in law enforcement when the public wants to see more...we have to respect the law enough to recognize that they are carrying out the laws that we collectively have written."
