as posted by the channelSecretary of State said Friday morning that negotiations with Iran have shown “slight progress” as the U.S. pushes to ease tensions and prevent further military conflict in the region.
“There’s been some slight progress, I don’t want to exaggerate it but there’s been a little bit of movement, and that’s good,” Rubio said. “The fundamentals remain the same, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.”
Rubio also raised concerns over Iran’s influence in the, one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes, accusing Tehran of attempting to create a “tolling system” that could threaten international trade and global energy markets.
“They’re trying to create a tolling system,” Rubio stated. “There is not a country in the world that should accept that.”
