YouTube Description
as posted by the channelLois Romano on why she wrote a book about Mary Todd Lincoln: "I remember looking back and reading about Mary and thinking, was she really all this bad? Was she really crazy? That's what everyone would always say. Wasn't she crazy? And I concluded that her biography was not well-rounded, that she was judged by some of her flaws. And no one should be judged by only her flaws. And some of it was misogyny. We all should be allowed a little bit of grace in our lives. And she got no grace during her lifetime."
