1:23Now PlayingPresident Trump reiterated his support for U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton (R-TX) while criticizing his opponent Rep. James Talarico (D-TX) at the Oval Office on Wednesday.
"I mean they have a name, a nickname for him," he said. "The name happens to be Talafreako, because he is one of the worst candidates I've ever seen."
The president continued by calling Texas attorney general Paxton "the best attorney general in this country for the past ten years or more."
His praises come as polls and reports show the Texas Senate race has become a highly contested election with Democrats vying for the opportunity to flip the long-held Republican Texas Senate seat.
