YouTube Description
as posted by the channelWatching the spectacle of President Trump entertaining visiting dignitaries, including our own Prime Minister, on British soil was a stark reminder of the realities of political - and personal - power. Despite enjoying the thinnest possible majorities in the House of Representatives and Senate, Trump has forced through his radical agenda. Sir Keir Starmer on the other hand, who wields the largest parliamentary majority in British post-war history, is bullied and buffeted from one u-turn to another, the latest being his totally illogical statement on recognising a Palestinian state. Trump wields power like a monarch, Starmer like a mid-level bureaucrat who simply wants to please his boss and collect his pension.
And yet it was clear Trump took no pleasure in humiliating our Prime Minister. He spoke, like many Americans, only to lament the decline of this country and others in Europe. One only hopes we can summon some of the energy and initiative of the American Right before it's too late.
