The defense filed multiple Franks motions alleging that Carroll County Sheriff Tony Liggett's search warrant affidavit for Richard Allen's residence contained false statements and omitted material exculpatory evidence. Central to these filings is the controversy surrounding Purdue Professor Jeffrey Turco and what he actually told investigators about the stick configurations found on the victims' bodies.
