Preparing for WW3: Russia to expand military by 50%; 1 million to 1.5 million strong!

Russia suddenly announced the plan to expand the military size from the current 1 million by 150% to 1.5 million strong. Most if not all of these troops will be contract soldiers (professionals/regulars) and unlikely to include the mobilized troops.

Significant plans includes

- having exclusive military inter-branch strategic territorial formations in Moscow and Leningrad districts

- entirely new army corp in Republic of Karelia

- expansion of 7 motorised infantry brigades to division size

- as well as expansion of training facilities to accommodate the expansion, among others.

The expansion will be completed at a super short time frame of within 3 years, or between 2023-2026. And the budget for the expansion seemed to be not an issue at all.
