Suga Free: People Thought 'Street Gospel' Was a Christian Album

Revealing that his signature Quik-crafted debut album, 'Street Gospel,' was polished and perfected in a mere 28 days, Suga adds that it was "one big party" the whole time while also being a great learning experience. Quik's expeditious nature to create and cultivate the beat resonates in Suga Free's sentiment, "The boy is fast. He cook up a beat in no time."

Soon, the conversation turns retrospective as Suga Free recounts a fond memory of working on his debut. The "If U Stay Ready" rapper recounts, "A lot of times we'd have a studio session and I'd be a couple of cities over with them hos down on the track trying to get as much as I can," he says, adding, "And a couple of times [Quik] had to come get me from out there and finish recording. That was a trip."
