Nore starts out by telling a story of meeting the guy "who was always in a tight shirt," aka Pharrell, and the NY emcee said he surprisingly trusted the young producer's claims he would make him a hit song. After hearing two hot beats from Pharrell, Nore knew that the Virginia-born artist was capable of getting him to the top of the charts.
During their studio session Nore said he witnessed Pharrell's "genius," and admitted that while he was skeptical about the "What What" hook, he later became convinced of its power after the song went number one.
