"Music videos to me are like absolutely everything. I grew up watching music videos and it made me like the song more, and I miss that feeling and I try to create that feeling when I do things," said SonReal about his aspirations to create visual art that rivals that of yesteryear.
The burgeoning rapper also revealed that he never goes into making music videos with the goal of creating a viral hit, but instead with the goal of always creating some "rad sh*t" that properly reflects the content of the song.

On the topic of his viral hit "Preach," SonReal said they were determined to create a music video that featured more locations in it than any rap video ever, and they traveled all over the place to shoot it despite having "zero dollars" in the budget.
