She then added that she feels uncomfortable when she finds out that her costars have "double dipped" in both straight and gay scenes, because of the risk for HIV.
Staying on the same topic, Lexington Steele supports Nikki's argument by pointing out that while condoms are mandatory in gay scenes, they are not enforced. He added that since condoms are mandatory, testing is also not as frequent for gay actors, leading to a possible spreading of disease.
Both actors were adamant about the amount of testing that they do for their jobs, and Lexington admitted that he's been tested at least once a month since 1996, and more in the past two years since rules have changed to twice a month.
