5:20Now PlayingLil Bibby was one of the first rappers to repost Slim Jesus' "Drill Time" before it blew up, and the Chicago rapper spoke to VladTV about why he supported Slim Jesus. Bibby also shared how he could see the influence in Slim Jesus' track and his own music, which he admitted was flattering when he first heard "Drill Time."
After admitting that it's hard to entertain him, Lil Bibby told us that he found "Drill Time" to be very amusing, and the Chicago spitter added that he was drawn to the mystery of whether Slim Jesus was really about that life. However, when Bibby found out that the Hamilton, Ohio rapper told VladTV that he didn't live the life he rapped about, the "Word Around Town" rapper told us that he feels like Slim Jesus messed up a little bit.
During the interview Bibby stated that he thinks Slim Jesus would've been better off not saying anything about his lifestyle, because it gave away the mystery that everyone was wondering about. He added, "[Slim Jesus] should've left everybody wondering. That's what drew me into it. I know once everybody found out, like, 'Oh, he's lying,' you know, people don't respect that."
Check out more of what Bibby had to say in the above clip, including his thoughts on the current state of Drill music.
